- Underneath Tarzan's level design and beautifully rendered graphics lies a straightforward-and sometimes fun-action game. Problems to watch for: Slowdown when too much stuff is going on, repetitive ungle-type levels and touchy control when jumping and swinging on vines.
- The Tarzan Action Game Video Series was a project for the Rayque3 Channel, provided by MechaRaptor. According to him, the series had multiple intentions. It was primairly intented for adding nostalgia, since the game was released back in 1999. It was also considered one of MechaRaptor's favorite childhood games, next to Croc 2. Even though the game was relatively easy in its gameplay.

Disney Tarzan PC Game is a combo of both action and adventure genre which is known fo it's beautiful surrounding in a jungle. The game has various features that are promisingly superb and make yourself along with your family to sit with you just for watching. For Walt Disney Pictures Presents: Tarzan on the PlayStation, GameFAQs has game information and a community message board for game discussion. Actually, what Tarzan captures, surprisingly, is the simplicity (with challenge) found in classic games. Jan 25, 2013 -Please Read-Some of you might remember that I did a walkthrough of this on my old ClassicGamesGuy1 channel directly through a camera that literally recorded the TV screen.

Issues fixed[edit]
Unable to install the game from the disc[edit]
- The installer on the disc, does not work on modern windows OS due to it designed for older OS.
Change the installer compatibility mode to an older version of windows |
---|
- Right Click the installer.exe file and set properties. In the compatibility tab, set it to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP service Pack 2.
- The installer should now work and allow you to install the game.
|
Audio pops during cutscenes on newer Windows OS[edit]
- The game's cutscenes rely on an old direct sound dll file for proper sound playback from the CD. When installed on newer OS like Windows 10, this game will use the dll file of the latest version which causes the issue.
Use an old version of Direct Sound |
---|
- Download and extract dsound.dll for Tarzan.
- Copy
dsound.dll to <path-to-game> .
|
Lower resolution and lack of support for higher resolution monitors[edit]
- The game being quite old, was never properly designed to be scaled for higher resolution monitors of today. Some elements of it scale up quite poorly and the overall presentation looks quite bad.
Use dgvoVoodoo and Glide renderer in game |
---|
- Download the latest version of dgVoodoo 2 and extract the archive.
- Open the
3Dfxx86 folder and copy Glide.dll , Glide2x.dll and Glide3x.dll files. - Paste the files into the game root folder or where the game executable file is.
- Run the included
dgVoodooCpl program and configure the resolution depending on your monitor resolution in the Glide section. If you don't want watermarks, then you can disable that here as well. - Run the
tarzan.exe file and after you reach the main menu, press F2. - Head to the Graphics section and make sure that the Display and Start Display mode is set to Glide. the bottom right corner of the game should indicate which display is being used after you start up the game.
- Now the game should scale properly to your monitor resolution and look much better.

No Music plays in the game[edit]
- The game uses CDDA audio to stream in music as you play the game with the CD inserted and modern windows do not support this properly.
There are two methods to fix this |
---|
Method 1 - Install K Lite Codec pack, and insert the disc.
- Now run the game and check if the music is playing from the main menu itself
Method 2 - If the first method does not work for you, then get the full version of the game dump with .bin and .cue files online or try dumping it yourself. A good reference guide for dumping this game is to follow how to dump a ps1 game in .bin and .cue formats.
- After dumping, you have to mount the .cue file as a virtual drive with CDDA audio capacity. Only Daemon tools supports this CDDA audio mounting.
- Install the free version of Daemon tools.
- Mount the .cue file with Daemon tools and then run the game. Check if the music is playing from the main menu itself

Issues Unresolved[edit]
EAX 3d audio is not available in newer version of windows after Vista[edit]
Tarzan Video Game
- There's a fix that enables 3d sound, but it breaks the audio in cutscenes completely.
Use Creative ALchemy on any sound card other than Creative ones |
---|
- Make a backup of the dsound.dll file that you used for fixing the cutscenes before doing this process below.
- Follow the instruction in this webpage.
- After setting up the game exe file in the ALchemy menu, run the
tarzan.exe file and after you reach the main menu, press F2. - Head to the audio section and you will now be able to enable EAX audio. the bottom right corner of the game should indicate if EAX audio is being used after you startup the game.
|
Music in the ingame levels do not repeat after playing once[edit]
There's currently no way to fix this and the issue seems to occur only on modern OS like Win 10 |
